Returning

A couple returning at sunset after a few hours fishing in their 'tinnie' (a small boat) for barramundi at Yellow Water in Kakadu National Park, Australia. They told us that they caught a few but that were undersized at only about 50cm.

Personally I would have used a bigger boat as the area is very popular with estaurine crocodiles (otherwise known as saltwater crocodiles) Those guys are killers and can grow to well over twice the length of their boat.

This is the first of my Top End series from a two week holiday in the dry season. For those outside Australia, the 'Top End' is the area in the Northern Territory near Darwin. The area includes some pretty amazing places including the world heritage listed Kakadu National Park, Arnhem Land, the Litchfield National Park and Nitmilik National Park to name a few.
